President Lohr Schedules Fall Office Hours
September 21, 2021
President Joel N. Lohr has scheduled office hours for the Fall 2021 semester. 4-5 p.m., Thursday, September 23 4-5 p.m., Thursday, October 28 4-5 p.m., Thursday, November 18 4-5 p.m., Thursday, December 16 President Lohr will hold office hours for students, faculty, and staff by appointment. Appointments will be made on a first come, first served basis in 15-minute time slots during the above designated hours. Contact Lorraine Browne (lbrowne@hartsem.edu) to set up an appointment!
Dr. Miriam Therese Winter Speaks to Women’s Ordination Conference

Professor Emerita Miriam Therese Winter spoke on Tuesday to a large international gathering organized by the Women’s Ordination Conference, which describes itself as an “uncompromising feminist voice for women’s ordination and gender equity in the Roman Catholic Church since 1975.”

Akeem Burgess Joins Seminary as Student Care and Residential Life Coordinator

Hartford Seminary’s first modern-day Student Care and Residential Life Coordinator, Akeem Burgess, is a native of Jamaica who immigrated to the United States seven years ago. Akeem grew up in the charismatic Pentecostal tradition and attended Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma soon after arriving in the U.S.

Hartford Seminary Receives $5 million Lilly Endowment Grant

HIU has been awarded a five-year, $5.3 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to fund research into how congregations are changing, innovating, and establishing new ministry practices as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
