Hartford Seminary Mourns the Passing of Princeton Chaplain Sohaib Sultan '10
April 17, 2021
Chaplain Sohaib Sultan '10, a Hartford Seminary corporator and active alumnus, passed away Friday at the age of 40. He was the first full-time Muslim Life Coordinator and Chaplain at Princeton University, a job he held for the last 13 years.

Ph.D. Candidate Contributes to Book on Coptic and Arabic Manuscripts

The book is part of a Yale-sponsored project under the supervision of Professor Stephen J. Davis to catalogue over 1000 manuscripts in the Egyptian monastery in Dayr al-Suryᾱn.

The Journal of Interreligious Studies has just released Issue 32. Included is an essay by Najib George Awad, Professor of Christian Theology and Eastern Christian Thought, on “The ‘End of Dialogue’ and Christian-Muslim Interrelations.”

After its founding in 1834, the Theological Institute of Connecticut (now Hartford Seminary) welcomed a gift of $11,000 from Miss Rebecca Waldo of Worcester, MA, as a “pledge of necessary endowments.”
